Report on the 2013 New Product Exhibition Featuring Evangelion Dioramas
Report: MEDICOM TOY EXHIBITION '13
The photograph above shows a diorama created with three figures – RAH NEO Evangelion Unit-01, RAH NEO Evangelion Unit-02, and RAH NEO Evangelion Unit-00 (Modified) – which was installed in the center of the venue as a symbol for the 2013 New Product Exhibition, "MEDICOM TOY EXHIBITION '13." Let's introduce some of the highlights from the exhibition, held from June 22nd to 30th at PARCO MUSEUM on the 3rd floor of PARCO Part 1 in Shibuya.

Full of Highlights!
Before the "MEDICOM TOY EXHIBITION '13" opened, OPENERS publishedan article on "Event Commemorative Products."This year's exhibition not only showcased new products scheduled for release in 2013-2014 but also featured numerous attractions for visitors to enjoy.
The new product exhibition featured not only MEDICOM TOY's signature block-type bear figures, "BE@RBRICK," but also 1/6 scale action figures from "REAL ACTION HEROES," as well as soft vinyl figures like "VCD (Vinyl Collectible Dolls)" and "UDF (Ultra Detail Figures)." A "FARBRICK®" corner, offering textile goods with the concept of "making life more enjoyable," was also set up.
A new approach this year was the visual enhancement of the showcase backgrounds, tailored to match each displayed product. These character-specific backdrops added a deeper dimension to the items' worlds. Furthermore, the "BE@RBRICK Manufacturing Process" exhibit, using the venue-exclusive "BE@RBRICK Greeting 400% Wedding" as an example, drew considerable attention. Visitors could follow the entire process from sketch to data creation for manufacturing, parts printing, assembly, and packaging.
The centerpiece of the display was the "BE@RBRICK Tower," created using the "Japanese-style" BE@RBRICKs popular at the "MEDICOM TOY Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi Store." Alongside the new "BE@RTEE" displayed on the walls, it effectively highlighted the BE@RBRICK section.
Additionally, as a service to visitors, there was a corner for creating original stamps and postcards free of charge, along with a special exhibition photo booth. It was truly an event "full of fun," befitting the PARCO MUSEUM, a pilgrimage site for MEDICOM TOY fans.
