10 Variations of "Cases for Smokeless Tobacco - ZERO STYLE -"

This April,Tom Dixonat MOST, a Milan exhibition venue hosted by the British brand,“10 Japanese Designers in koloro-desk” exhibitionwas held by Tokyo Bussanten. At the venue, they presented "Cases for Smokeless Tobacco - ZERO STYLE -" (※ZERO STYLE is a registered trademark of Japan Tobacco Inc.), proposed by 10 designers and fashion brands currently gaining attention in Japan, which garnered significant interest.




Smokeless tobacco is a completely new style of tobacco where a cartridge filled with tobacco leaves is set in a dedicated holder, and inhaled without using fire. Tokyo Bussanten quickly focused on the potential of this uniquely Japanese "smokeless tobacco." By designing dedicated holders, they explored the creation of new values and communication.


The installation exhibition, held at Daikanyama T-SITE GARDEN GALLERY, will primarily feature "Cases for Smokeless Tobacco - ZERO STYLE -" proposed by 10 designers and fashion brands. Sketches, books, and photographs that served as their inspiration will also be exhibited concurrently. Furthermore, products created by each designer and fashion brand will be available for purchase at the venue.




The venue design, as in Milan, was handled byTorafu Architects, who is also a participating designer in this project. They will create a fantastical space on the canvas of their signature work,“Koloro-desk”.




The proposals from 10 individuals, including product designers, architects, and fashion designers active in different fields, will express the relationship between objects and people in a more enjoyable and enriched way.
