Enjoy Workshops and a Quiz Rally

To commemorate the broadcast of National Geographic's documentary channel program, "PHOTO ARK: Ark of Animals," the "Endangered Animals Exhibition Through Photos and Films" is currently underway.

This event showcases a curated selection of 36 photographs from the "PHOTO ARK" project, led by National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore. The images are categorized by their endangered status, with all 36 on display together.

The portraits were captured using a consistent technique against either a black or white background to document each animal under the same conditions. However, photographing animals, with their unpredictable movements, presented continuous challenges. Visitors can gain insight into the behind-the-scenes process of how these photographs were taken, learn about the ecology of rare animals, and absorb Joel Sartore's messages regarding their current plight.

The venue will also screen the first episode of "PHOTO ARK: Ark of Animals" (all 3 episodes). Additionally, events such as a workshop for enjoying animal origami, a photo spot, and a quiz rally are planned, making the exhibition enjoyable for a wide range of visitors.

This event offers an opportunity not only to appreciate the charming appearances of these animals but also to foster a deeper concern for their endangered status. We encourage you to visit.

The "PHOTO ARK" Project
Spearheaded by National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore, this is a photographic project aiming to document all 12,000 species of animals kept in zoos and conservation facilities worldwide. By recording and sharing images of these animals, the project seeks to raise awareness about species facing extinction and to preserve their likeness for future generations. "ARK" refers to Noah's Ark, making "PHOTO ARK" a "photographic Noah's Ark." Joel Sartore plans to dedicate 25 years to this endeavor and has already completed the photography for over 7,000 species.
