A Gathering of Forces Pursuing New Architectural Possibilities
The "U-30 Under 30 Architects exhibition," showcasing young architects under 30, has once again drawn a lively crowd. This year's exhibition is set to take place at ATC in Kohnan, Osaka, from Friday, September 7th, to Saturday, October 6th. A symposium featuring guest architects will be held on Saturday, September 29th.

The Next Generation's Vision for Architecture
Now in its third year since its inception in 2010, this exhibition focuses on emerging architects under the age of 30.Great East Japan EarthquakeThe Great East Japan Earthquake prompted not only architects but many others to reconsider the future environment. In this context, what meaning do young architects in their twenties find in creating architecture?
The seven exhibiting groups, representing this generation, are exploring richer spatial possibilities for people with fresh creativity. Through diverse expressive methods including drawings, videos, and interactive installations, they pursue spaces uniquely achievable by this generation. The future of architecture will likely be illuminated by their perspectives, expressed through these varied approaches.
The symposium on Saturday, September 29th, will bring together leading architects from Japan, roughly a generation older (around 40 years old), to explore future architectural concepts for Japan alongside the exhibitors. This initiative promises to influence Japanese architecture, and indeed global architecture, in this new era. We strongly encourage you to witness this event firsthand.
