Wakasu Bicycle Meeting to be Held
The "Wakasu Bicycle Meeting," Japan's first event of its kind, will bring together creators of unique and innovative handmade bicycles from Japan and abroad, including the much-talked-about Zambian bamboo bike frames "ZAMBIKES" and Italian retro bicycles "ABICI," for a joint test ride event for the public. The event will be held on September 17 (Monday, holiday) at the cycling plaza in Koto Ward's Wakasu Park, overlooking Tokyo Bay.

With the cycling boom gaining momentum, unique and innovative handmade bicycle brands are gathering at Wakasu Park in Koto Ward!
The "Wakasu Bicycle Meeting" will showcase everything from high-end bicycles that have received Good Design Awards to hand-pedaled bikes, recumbent bikes, bicycles made of bamboo and wood, replicas of bicycles from 60 years ago, bicycles that can replace trucks, and even handmade leather accessories for bicycles, all proposing new styles of cycling.
This is Japan's first experiential and interactive cycling event where participants can converse with the creators and suppliers of each handmade bicycle while actually riding and experiencing them on a dedicated 800-meter cycling course.
