Theme: Different Yet All Wonderful

Kagure, which has focused on traditional crafts from the Tohoku region, now turns its attention to the charm of "kokeshi," the long-established wooden toys. During the "Kokeshi Festival at Kagure Omotesando," new kokeshi dolls from various craftsmen and books about kokeshi will be available.

The event will feature and sell a variety of items, including large vintage kokeshi dolls from the "KOKESHIEN!" project, which supports the kokeshi doll community through a baton-like passing of dolls from person to person. Also on display will be new hand-painted kokeshi dolls by illustrator Harumin Asao, who will also appear at the "Kokeshi Evening," along with cochae's book "kokeshi book," "Takeo Takei's Kokeshi Dolls," and original travel kokeshi from Kagurazaka's "jokogumoo."

Yosuke Jikihara, who is involved in various activities related to Tohoku kokeshi, and illustrator and essayist Harumin Asao will gather for an evening to share their love for kokeshi over drinks of Miyakanbai sake from Miyagi.
