THINK_14, held on Friday, June 29th, will feature creative director Yu Yamada. A 30-tsubo space, usually empty, will be transformed into a shop for one day only. We eagerly await your visit.

His keen eye for curation, behind numerous notable shops

Our 14th THINK guest, Yu Yamada, became independent after serving as the head buyer for all IDEE shops. Currently, while heading the creative direction company method, he is expanding his reach across various fields, including directing product brands, galleries, and shops, as well as planning art exhibitions and editing works.

This time, under Yu Yamada's direction, we will attempt to transform a 30-tsubo empty space into a shop. We look forward to seeing not only the carefully selected items but also how this one-day shop space will be created.

Yu YAMADA
Buyer, Creative Director. Born in Tokyo. After working as a buyer at IDEE SHOP in Minami-Aoyama, he established method in 2007 and began working as a freelance buyer. He is currently the Representative Director of method Inc. He also serves as director for the design event "DESIGNTIDE TOKYO." His major projects include support direction for the National Art Center, Tokyo's museum shop "Souvenir From Tokyo," merchandise selection for "Tokyo's Tokyo" on the 3rd floor of Haneda Airport Terminal 2 and the 5th floor of Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku, MD coordination for the select shop "PASS THE BATON," selection assistance for gifts to APEC JAPAN 2010 leaders, merchandise direction for the beauty marché on the 1st floor of "SHISEIDO THE GINZA" in Ginza 7-chome, and production of the fireworks select shop "fireworks."
