Beach House 'Café de Ropé La mer' Opens for the First Time in Two Years



JUN, the company behind select shops and various brands, presents the beach house 'Café de Ropé La mer,' open from July 7th to August 26th on Isshiki Beach in Hayama. Spend a special summer by the sea in this 'beach hut' that feels like an open-air cafe with a sweeping ocean view.

Focus on Gourmet Food and Diverse Activities



'Café de Ropé La mer' is open again after a two-year hiatus. The origins of this beach house trace back to 'Café de Ropé,' which opened in Omotesando in 1972. On sunny days, its retractable tent roof would open, evoking a Parisian cafe. It was considered a pioneer of open-air cafes at the time and a gathering spot for Tokyo's stylish set. 'Café de Ropé La mer' recreates the atmosphere of this aspirational cafe, a former cultural hub, on the shores of Hayama.


The location is Isshiki Beach, selected as one of the "88 Best Beaches in Japan" by the Environment Agency. With the lush greenery of the Imperial Villa as a backdrop, this beautiful sandy beach offers the chance to witness a spectacular sunset over Mt. Fuji on clear days.



The menu features dishes made with freshly harvested Hayama vegetables, alongside Mexican favorites like tacos and grilled corn, perfect for hot summer days. Enjoy mint-filled mojitos and original cocktails.

Also, look forward to a variety of activities and events. During the day, the beach will host workshops such as yoga, and live performances by domestic and international artists. Furthermore, brand events featuring the select shop 'Adam et Ropé' and others are planned.
