After 3.11: How Architects and Artists View the World
The "HYPER ARCHIPELAGO" Exhibition
From Sunday, March 11th to Monday, April 16th, the gallery EYE OF GYRE on the third floor of Omotesando GYRE will host the third architectural exhibition, "HYPER ARCHIPELAGO," which questions the imagery needed for Japan in the post-3.11 era.

Marking the first anniversary of the historical event of 3.11, the "HYPER ARCHIPELAGO" exhibition poses questions to architects and artists who are proposing grand designs and decision-making frameworks for Japan's future path.

Sputniko!
3.11 has exposed the global breakdown of modern systems, revealing cracks in political and economic paradigms, energy issues, and disparities between urban and rural areas, posing numerous questions. As solutions are sought, this exhibition's theme is to capture the essence of Japan as a nation on a meta-level, attempting to reveal a structure that could be called a "HYPER ARCHIPELAGO" arising from a new network of infrastructure.
Scheduled Artists:
Arata Isozaki, Sputniko!, teamLab, Daisuke Ohba, Nanaho Ishii, SAM (Mika Iguchi + Taizo Taho), Kyururu feat. Chiharu Chiroru, dot architects + Daijiro Mizuno, 403 architecture (dajiba), mashcomix + TEAM ROUNDABOUT, Ryuji Fujimura, and others
