Featuring the structural engineer behind Maison Hermès and more

For this 10th installment of THINK, we are pleased to welcome structural engineer Mitsuhiro Kaneda.

Just as the human body is supported by its skeleton, architecture relies on its "framework." It is no exaggeration to say that structural engineers are responsible for the "design of the framework," which is not always visible.

Mr. Kaneda has been involved in the structural planning of numerous renowned architectural projects worldwide. While working at "Arup," a global engineering firm renowned for its environmental expertise, he has contributed to a wide range of architectural projects both domestically and internationally. We aim to delve into the core principles that guide his work.

We believe this will be an engaging session for everyone, including those not directly involved in architecture. We eagerly await your participation.
