Playmountain | Duo Exhibition by Adam Silverman and Alma Allen, "Taking Turns"
Adam Silverman and Alma Allen
A Masterful Collaboration by an Unlikely Duo
Ceramicist Adam Silverman and sculptor Alma Allen. Based in Los Angeles and Joshua Tree respectively, these two leading figures in California's contemporary craft scene present an unusual collaboration. Remarkably, Japan has been chosen as the venue for its unveiling. Following a successful exhibition in Osaka, the show now tours to Tokyo.

A Dialogue Between Silverman's Ceramics and Allen's Wood Sculptures
Adam Silverman studied architecture, art, and design at university before co-founding the fashion brand "X-Large," later transitioning to ceramics. He is known as an unconventional ceramicist, currently also serving as the studio director for Heath Ceramics. Alma Allen, on the other hand, is a sculptor based in Joshua Tree, a desert region east of Los Angeles. She draws inspiration and materials from her walks through deserts, coastlines, and mountains to create her beautiful sculptures.
In their joint exhibition "Taking Turns," the artists engaged in a dialogue, resulting in a remarkable fusion of works that, while differing in material and style, complement each other perfectly. The resulting pieces are a testament to their mutual respect and rich imagination. It feels as though their meeting was destined, and Japan's selection as the debut venue is a stroke of good fortune. We invite you to experience these exquisite works.
