Everyday Objects, Reimagined in Knit?
Knit artist "203gow" is an artist who creates works by realistically knitting everyday objects such as plants, animals, diplomas, food items like natto, and even switches and faucets. With her touch, anything can be transformed into a "strange knit" at an astonishing speed.
These creations will now gather at Konica Minolta Plaza. The space will be filled with a unique "knit forest" that will make you smile and exclaim, "How cute!" On November 30th, starting at 1 PM, 203gow herself will appear and demonstrate her knitting skills. She plans to cover everything in the venue, including the benches, with her knit creations.
The venue will also feature a corner introducing "more trees" (represented by Ryuichi Sakamoto), a forest conservation group that knit artist 203gow actively supports and collaborates with as a patron due to her shared commitment to environmental initiatives, and "FreePets ~Thinking about the lives of animals called pets~".
