About the MERRY GREEN CHRISTMAS Charity Campaign
With Bear Santa BE@RBRICK, we gift school furniture to children,
and continue our efforts to plant trees. Here, we introduce the Mitsukoshi Isetan charity campaign, "MERRY GREEN CHRISTMAS," and its overview.

For the children in the disaster-stricken areas of Eastern Japan in 2011
Since 2006, "A Christmas that continues into the future,—for the Earth, for the children" has been the theme of our environmental charity campaign, "MERRY GREEN CHRISTMAS." This initiative involves selling BE@RBRICK straps, with a portion of the proceeds used to provide school furniture to children through the Green Santa Fund and to support tree-planting efforts. (Last year's charity donations totaled ¥17,928,355. Total donations to the Green Santa Fund over the past five years amount to ¥138,606,521.)
In 2011, its sixth year, the campaign is held as part of the Mitsukoshi Isetan Group's common environmental slogan, "Kiss the Earth." This year, it will further contribute toEastern Japan Earthquakedonations of school furniture, such as desks and chairs made from domestic timber, to children in the affected areas.
The BE@RBRICK straps available this year are all new designs: Pearl White, Pearl Blue, Pearl Pink, and Metallic Green, for a total of four types.
