THE CONRAN SHOP | Event "CASE STUDY" Held

THE CONRAN SHOP

Focusing on the single theme of 'CASE' (to wrap, cover, store, contain)

Event 'CASE STUDY' Held

An event titled 'CASE STUDY,' where leading international designers including Michael Young, Ron Arad, and Jonathan Barnbrook present their 'case studies' on 'CASE'—something everyone uses daily for wrapping, covering, storing, or containing—will be held from Thursday, October 6th to Tuesday, November 15th at five THE CONRAN SHOP locations nationwide. Furthermore, the entirety of the proceeds from the sale of unique 'edition pieces' will be donated to LIFE 311, a project delivering ultimate 'CASE' homes to disaster-stricken areas in support of the Great East Japan Earthquake recovery.

Every 'CASE' Born from Unconventional, Free-Thinking and Novel Ideas

For this event, international designers and artists have provided designs exclusively for THE CONRAN SHOP. They have fully explored the potential hidden within design, focusing on the single theme of 'CASE,' and have created works for 'CASE STUDY.'

Notable EXCLUSIVE items include a Fellowes Bankers Box featuring the letter 'H' by HOUSE INDUSTRIES, known for their font design; a half-sized helmet case with a yellow pocket for active fundraising, proposed by HIKARU MATSUMURA; a playful ring case by e.m. that springs open like a jack-in-the-box; and a trash can designed by POSTALCO.

This event is filled with cutting-edge, novel ideas, embodying elements of 'beauty,' 'surprise,' 'art,' and 'fun' that these designers convey.
