MARVEL
With over 70 years of history, MARVEL is a world-leading group that has produced numerous superheroes and their stories. It boasts over 8,000 characters, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, X-Men, and Wolverine, and this number continues to grow.
Many of MARVEL's key characters were created by Stan Lee, considered a leading figure in the American comic book industry. Stan Lee introduced an approach that established the "relatable, flawed hero" archetype in American comics, which until then had only featured "all-powerful heroes." As a result, MARVEL's protagonists became everyday heroes who, while still heroic, possessed many human qualities.
While MARVEL continues to publish comics, it has also ventured into the film industry in recent years. Establishing its own studio, the company has been releasing a string of highly anticipated films, including "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man," "Iron Man 2," and "Thor." "Captain America: The First Avenger" is set for release on October 14th this year. In 2012, "The Amazing Spider-Man" will premiere in Japan on June 30th, the earliest release worldwide. Following this, the highly anticipated global blockbuster "The Avengers" is slated for release in August.
