"THINK" is an event series centered on the theme of "THINK," organized by Suppose Design Office, led by architect Makoto Tanijiri. The guest for "THINK_05," held on Friday, August 12th, will be Masafumi Goto, the vocalist and guitarist of ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION.

Exploring the relationship between words and thoughts born from Goto

For the "THINK_05" talk event, we are pleased to welcome Masafumi Goto, vocalist and guitarist of ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION.

In addition to his work as a musician, where he writes the lyrics and most of the music for all ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION songs, Goto also publishes a newspaper called "The Future Times." This publication is based on the concept of "thinking about new times, future society, and the future."

Why is he, as a musician, engaging in such endeavors now? And how will his ability to craft delicate words influence the future? He will speak with us about the relationship between the words he creates and his thoughts.

To date, they have released six original albums through Ki/oon Music (Sony). Beyond his band activities, Goto has also launched the label "only in dreams" and publishes "The Future Times," a newspaper focused on new eras, society, and our future. He garners attention not only for his music but also for his socially engaged commentary on blogs and Twitter, where he currently has over 100,000 followers.
