On a Sunday night, a personal moment of pure bliss unfolds with exquisite music. This rich experience is brought to you by DJToshio Matsuura's radio program, TOKYO MOON.──Each Sunday, from 7 PM, he broadcasts a selection of wonderful music from around the globe and intriguing topics for the discerning adult on InterFM 76.1MHz. Here, we present the latest broadcast. This week, we've curated tracks with a "must-listen in midsummer" theme, featuring reggae and soul. We also introduced the Tohoku tour taking place over three days: Friday, July 29th, Saturday, 30th, and Sunday, 31st.

We kick off with Lord Echo, a unit by Mike Fabulous of the New Zealand dub band The Black Seeds, who have rearranged the Sister Sledge classic "Thinking of You" into a soulful reggae rendition. Next, a reggae version of The Rolling Stones' "Miss You," followed by a smoky, percussive new track from Japan's own alternative dance band Sly Mongoose. We also played new soul tracks from Sharon Jones and Jill Scott, perfect for the height of summer.

Kicking off this weekend! Tohoku Tour 3 DAYS. It's been almost five months since the earthquake.Visit to disaster areas in JuneThis weekend marks the start of a Tohoku reconstruction support tour, our first since visiting the disaster-stricken areas in June. This initiative, which began with a casual remark on Twitter in mid-April, is finally coming to fruition. We will visit three cities: Sendai, Morioka, and Akita, where DJs from all six Tohoku prefectures will gather for the highly significant event, "Tohoku Jazz Meeting." We aim to deliver music, love, and energy. We warmly invite locals, as well as those returning home or visiting the region, to join us. We look forward to your participation.
