Elegant, Sexy, and Surprisingly Smooth Comfort

GERBE was founded in 1904 by Stéphane Gerbe. Headquartered in Saint-Vallier, south of Burgundy, France, it is now one of the few remaining "Made in France" legwear manufacturers in the country.

The brand still utilizes traditional knitting machines that can only produce 16 pairs per hour, and artisans meticulously hand-sew elements like the toe sections and back seams. The high level of traditional craftsmanship, passed down for over a century, is recognized even by the government. Simultaneously, GERBE's appeal lies in its continuous pursuit of superior comfort, evolving the fineness of its weaves with the times.

From its inception, GERBE primarily produced stockings and tights for fashion shows by Christian Dior and Chanel. Later, it began releasing its own collections. Notably, its 15-denier stockings, which enhance the legs with their soft texture and subtle shading, became famous through long-time use by Carine Roitfeld, former editor-in-chief of French VOGUE. The brand also holds the trust of luxury houses, further expanding its reach by participating in events like Oscar Carvalo's haute couture fashion show this year.

GERBE's legwear, renowned for its "non-run," "run-resistant," and "excellent fit," born from reliable craftsmanship rooted in tradition and a commitment to continuous innovation, will finally see its full launch in Japan this year.

GERBE offers three lines: "Basic," "Collection," and "Gaspard." Among these, the "Gaspard" series, launched in 2010 as a collaboration with GASPARD YURKIEVICH, is particularly noteworthy.

Led by stockings like SWEET FOILE, adorned with tiny ribbons, and OH LA LA, featuring artistically deconstructed roses, the Autumn/Winter 2014 collection boasts elegant yet edgy designs.

Furthermore, the new VERY DENIM tights, crafted from melange yarn in shades of blue with a 100-denier finish, offer an item that combines playfulness with sophistication. Layered with colored tights, they create a multitude of expressions.

The fusion of Gaspard Yurkievich's signature elegant and sexy designs with GERBE's luxurious materials and exceptional sewing techniques is truly a crystallization of Parisian spirit and French craftsmanship.
