A Shop Imbued with a World Reflecting the Brand's Aesthetic

RACHEL ASHWELL SHABBY CHIC Couture is a brand centered on interiors and lifestyle goods, launched in California in 1989 by British-born designer Rachel Ashwell. In addition to its first store in Santa Monica, the brand has expanded to locations in San Francisco, New York, London, and Texas.

With a concept of "quality that is beautiful, comfortable, and functional" and "beauty found in imperfection," the brand offers furniture that possesses a beautiful, aged charm, born from years of use and love—such as shelves and tables with wear and tear, or chairs with peeling paint. A characteristic feature is the use of gentle color palettes, including pure white and pale pink. Her fundamental values, which find renewed worth in long-loved and well-worn items, and her personal aesthetic of "imperfect beauty" are poured into these carefully crafted pieces, earning the support of discerning celebrities.

The shop offers a wide selection, from custom-made sofas and beds, vintage furniture, and chandeliers to linens such as bedding and towels, tableware, and body care products. Sofas and curtains can also be ordered with fabrics chosen from Shabby Chic's original collection.

RACHEL ASHWELL SHABBY CHIC Couture has entered into a sales agreement with Sazaby League for the Japanese market. In March of this year, a shop-in-shop was opened within the Ron Herman Futako-Tamagawa store.
