Japan's First Direct-Operated Flagship Store "MCM GINZA HAUS 1" Opens


Founded in Munich, Germany in 1976 and enjoying immense popularity in the 1980s, "MCM (MODERN CREATION MÜNCHEN)" has opened its first direct-operated flagship store in Japan, "MCM GINZA HAUS 1," on Friday, April 25th, on Chuo-dori in Ginza.

Interior Varies Between Main and Sub Entrances




"MCM" embodies the brand's characteristic fusion of opposites, such as "tradition and innovation" and "craftsmanship and new value." The spacious shop, which also features a VIP room, showcases a design that reflects this brand ethos and strength.

The interior features a striking contrast of greystone and MCM's signature gold brass plates. A modern atmosphere permeates the space, where stillness and motion, tranquility and vibrancy, ebb and flow. A unique, kaleidoscope-inspired entrance builds anticipation.

The interior is divided into two sections. The main entrance side features the brand's heritage line, the "Cognac Visetos" MCM monogram, alongside the premium "GOLD LINE" and the women's collection.

The sub-entrance side, which is planned to include a dog lead holder for pet owners, offers men's and unisex bags, as well as ready-to-wear. Connecting these two sections is a bridge displaying heritage line items and popular accessories such as MCM's signature backpacks, plush toys, wallets, and keychains.

Furthermore, the "FLOWERS BOYS IN PARADISE" 2014 Spring/Summer seasonal collection introduces colorful bags and apparel, combining vibrant flowers with MCM's iconic motifs, further enhancing the store's vibrant atmosphere.

The lineup, featuring Japan-exclusive and Ginza flagship store-exclusive items, as well as a wide variety of products for daily use, parties, and travel, is a must-see.
