Where Fashion Meets Contemporary Art
MSGM, the emerging Italian brand, is known for its graphical textiles and powerful use of color. Under the creative direction of Massimo Giorgetti, the brand consistently presents collections that blend elements of contemporary art and indie music with a constant stream of new ideas.
TOILETPAPER magazine was first published in 2010. It is a photography magazine curated by conceptual artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari. Its unique aesthetic, a blend of colorfulness and unexpectedness, infused with surrealism and a touch of arrogance, commands a distinct presence within the art world. It was also selected as one of the top 10 photobooks by The New York Times in 2012.
This collaboration unfolds with a pop sensibility centered around bright colors. MSGM's iconic sweatshirts and t-shirts are printed with TOILETPAPER's signature surrealist imagery: frogs emerging from sandwiches, flying horses, flowers in mysterious vases, and countless hands holding oversized lipsticks. The collection masterfully fuses fashion and contemporary art, creating a unique world that perfectly embodies the word 'whimsical'.
This limited collaboration was first unveiled in Milan during the men's fashion week in June. The collection elevates simple sweatshirts by blending surrealist prints with bright colors, transforming them into artistic pieces. These distinctive items are designed to guide the wearer towards a more advanced sense of fashion.
