Codename: "Super Moon!"
Since its inception in 2000, "BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE" has established its unique product line by pursuing the fascinating forms created by various materials and simple pieces. Its bags and pouches, with their flexible functionality, are characterized by their supple fit into modern life.
"BAO BAO PARK" is a project that gathers new things and ideas born from the encounters between people, centered around the theme of "design and form born from chance." The EDITION series, in particular, aims to create more realistic and value-added products through regular communication between the design team and external creators.
The first collaboration, "BAO BAO HI-VIZ.", with art director/illustrator Naomi Hirabayashi was released in July. Now, for the second edition, we announce the item "Super Moon!", a collaboration with artist Sputniko!.
Under the codename "Super Moon!", a Platinum Mix series featuring a color palette inspired by Sputniko! makes its debut. Its metallic sheen lends a futuristic impression. The collection includes a tote bag, slightly larger than previous models, and two new types of clutch bags in different sizes. These items, accompanied by special packaging designed and supervised by Sputniko!, will be available at select stores in Japan and abroad that carry "BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE."
