From Wednesday, July 10th to Tuesday, July 16th, Isetan Shinjuku Main Building 1F Handbag/Promotion Space will host the BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE special event "BAO BAO HI-VIZ.". The special item EDITION#01 "BAO BAO HI-VIZ.", a collaboration with art director and graphic designer Naomi Hirabayashi, will be available for pre-sale in limited quantities.

Since its launch in 2000, BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE has established its unique product line by pursuing the wondrous forms created by various materials and simple pieces. Its bags and pouches, with their flexible functionality, gracefully adapt to the demands of modern life.
The EDITION#01 "BAO BAO HI-VIZ.", available for pre-sale at Isetan Shinjuku, is a sharp and sporty unisex shoulder bag designed in collaboration with art director and graphic designer Naomi Hirabayashi.
Available in two sizes – a small size perfect for light carryalls and a large size for documents and laptops – these items are made with reflector material, making them highly visible day and night.

Naomi Hirabayashi
Born in Tokyo. After graduating from Musashino Art University, she worked as an art director and graphic designer at Shiseido Co., Ltd. In 2002, she moved to the UK and was dispatched to the design studio MadeThought in London. Upon returning to Japan, she has worked on numerous projects as a freelancer, including package and book cover designs, in addition to advertising. She has received numerous awards, including the Tokyo ADC Award, NYADC GOLD, and British D&AD.
Major works include art direction for (marunouchi) HOUSE, Shiseido corporate advertising, and the magazine "GINZA"; package design for HOPE and NTT DOCOMO; direction for apparel brands such as ARTS&SCIENCE, United Arrows, and journal standard luxe; CD jacket design for Akiko Yano, Hikaru Utada, and DREAMS COME TRUE; and book cover designs.
