Following an increase in mobile device access to Gucci's online store, which launched at the end of 2011, the company has now launched its mobile site in Japan, following the US and Europe. It is optimized for the most used mobile browsers, iOS and Android, and automatically switches to the new mobile site when accessing Gucci.com on a mobile device.

The new mobile website was created by Gucci's digital teams based in Florence, Tokyo, and New York, with the cooperation of Huge, a digital agency headquartered in Brooklyn. It is designed to offer the same high-end brand experience as Gucci shops and the online store. The range of items available is extensive, including handbags, shoes, small leather goods, scarves, fragrances, and jewelry. Services are also enhanced, such as online reservations to receive new collection items promptly.

Gucci operates e-commerce sites in 27 countries worldwide and mobile shopping sites in Japan, the US, and Europe. Regarding this launch, Gucci President and CEO Patrizio di Marco stated, "In response to the rapid expansion of mobile shopping, we believe it is crucial for Gucci, which is renowned in the luxury sector, to provide the luxurious shopping experience expected of Gucci also on mobile."
