The Brand's Iconic Scarves Transformed into Art

Motohiko Odani, a sculptor and artist known for creating works that challenge traditional sculpture through diverse techniques and materials, is a rising artist with a remarkable international career, including representing Japan at the Venice Biennale in 2003. For this collaboration, Odani drew inspiration from the "God save McQueen" scarf, which first appeared in the Autumn/Winter 2008 collection and has since become an iconic design and a signature of the brand. By treating the printed scarf as a Holy Shroud—the cloth believed to have wrapped Jesus at his burial—and applying a white flock finish, it has been elevated into a fantastical work of art.

The Roppongi Hills store offers a wide range of items, including various scarves, bags, and shoes, such as the "God save McQueen" scarf that inspired the artwork. The collaborative pieces add an artistic touch to the store, which is filled with the world of Alexander McQueen. We invite you to visit and experience the "invisible something" expressed by Motohiko Odani.
