Return to the Origin: The New Creative Director Hedi Slimane
The Atelier Returns to Paris's Left Bank, "Rive Gauche"
Saint Laurent has announced that in October, the atelier will relocate to the "Hôtel Sénecterre" in the heart of Paris's 7th arrondissement, known as the "Rive Gauche" or Left Bank. A new fitting salon, "Salon de Couture," will also be established and attached to the atelier.

The Ground Where Yves Saint Laurent Settled and First Presented Ready-to-Wear
Creative Director Hedi Slimane made his debut at Saint Laurent amidst great excitement for the Spring/Summer collection. He has now decided to move the atelier to the Left Bank, a move that can be described as a "return to the origin" for the new Saint Laurent.
The 1st arrondissement, where the atelier is currently located, was once the place where designer Yves Saint Laurent based himself for several months before unveiling his first collection.
To rebuild the brand, Hedi Slimane spent a year searching for the historic "Hôtel Sénecterre," built in 1688 and situated on the Left Bank of the Seine in Paris's 7th arrondissement. The Left Bank, also known as a "highly sophisticated district," is where Yves Saint Laurent's first ready-to-wear boutique was located, and the "Rive Gauche" name was even given to the ready-to-wear collection, making it a significant area for the maison. It was also where Yves Saint Laurent himself resided. This deep connection to the area imbues today's relocation with profound meaning.
Moving forward, Hedi Slimane will continue to base his design studio in Los Angeles for creative work, while the ateliers for men's and women's wear will be established at the "Hôtel Sénecterre."
Saint Laurent, reborn under Hedi Slimane and returning to its roots by relocating its atelier to a place of deep significance, has taken a historic step. As we witness this new chapter for a brand that has revolutionized fashion countless times, we eagerly anticipate how it will continue to surprise us.
