The horsebit, a metal piece resembling a horse's bridle, is famously used on the vamp of the "Horsebit Loafer," which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Since 1985, when the Horsebit Loafer was added to the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, it has been recognized beyond fashion as a significant product. Today, the horsebit is incorporated into clothing and bags, standing as one of Gucci's most important and iconic motifs.
