Furla, which has a deep connection with art since its founding, incorporating "the fusion of art and fashion" into its collections, is holding the "Furla Art Patronage Charity Silent Auction" in Japan to support the arts, in anticipation of its 90th anniversary next year.






Original bags created in collaboration with 10 celebrities, including artist Ayumi Hamasaki, models Rola and Emi Suzuki, Mari Natsuki, fashion director Daichi Miura, fashion illustrator Jean-Philippe Delhomme, talent Haruna Kojima, and flower artist Nicolai Bergmann.

Based on a customizable model of the iconic "METROPOLIS" bag with interchangeable flaps, a total of 10 customized bags have been completed. A silent auction for these bags will be held on the Furla official website from Tuesday, October 4th to Monday, October 31st, accepting bids.

All proceeds from the sale of the bags and live event artworks will be donated in full to The Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo), one of Tokyo's leading contemporary art museums. With these donations, "FURLA FREE DAY" is scheduled to be held at The Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo in 2017. During this period, the museum will be open to the public free of charge, offering a moment for everyone to enjoy art in the beautiful building, a renovated residence built in 1938.
