The 2016 Fall/Winter Pre-Collection: A Reappreciation of Heritage

Starting Friday, July 1st, Balenciaga will be offering an early release of its2016 Fall/Winter Pre-Collectionat seven select stores nationwide (Balenciaga Aoyama, Balenciaga Shinjuku Isetan Main Building 3F, Balenciaga Mitsukoshi Ginza 4F, Balenciaga Mitsukoshi Nagoya Sakae, Balenciaga Hankyu Umeda Main Store 3F, Balenciaga Sapporo Marui Imai Main Building 1F 2F, Balenciaga Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin New Building 3F).

The 2016 Fall/Winter Pre-Collection, released ahead of the runway debut of new artistic director Demna Gvasalia, appears to be a retrospective of the house's archives under the direction of the in-house design team. It reinterprets over a century of Balenciaga's history, adding modern elements while retaining the brand's signature attitude, serving as a re-appreciation of the maison's heritage.

This early release presents a valuable opportunity to get a first look at a collection that merges the past and present of the Balenciaga house.
