Cinderella's glass slipper, which has captivated the hearts and imaginations of women worldwide for centuries, has been brought to life through a dream collaboration between Walt Disney Studios and Christian Louboutin.

This collaboration celebrates the upcoming worldwide release of the Diamond Collection of Disney's masterpiece animated film "Cinderella" on Blu-ray this autumn. In response to Disney's request to "reimagine Cinderella's iconic glass slipper for today," Christian Louboutin designed a Cinderella slipper that was unveiled during Paris Haute Couture Week.

“Cinderella is not only a symbol of beauty, grace, and the eternal love of a fairytale, but also the ultimate shoe symbol,” says designer Christian Louboutin. The words used to describe the shoe, which seems to have stepped right out of a fairytale, are “lightness, beauty, and transparency.” Louboutin’s signature modern twist has been added, resulting in the ultimate Cinderella slipper that is sure to captivate the eye.

The crystal slipper, adorned with delicate lace, features a sparkling butterfly perched gracefully on the toe, and another on the very top of the crystal-covered heel, gently brushing the ankle. Of course, the sole is the brand's signature "red sole." Louboutin commented on the finished shoe, saying, “I created this shoe in the image of Cinderella herself and her story. I have condensed every page and every word of the tale into this shoe.”

As a highlight of this special project, one of the 20 pairs of Cinderella slippers created worldwide will be gifted to a lucky individual. Details regarding the contest to become a modern-day Cinderella and how to enter will be revealed soon.
