2mm Thick Original Rims Feature Cloisonné Coloring

OLIVER GOLDSMITH, an eyewear brand celebrating its 90th anniversary, adopted a design approach for its second collection under the "OG×OLIVER GOLDSMITH" line, launched in 2014. This approach involves thoroughly researching professions, the faces of people in those professions, and eyewear, then determining the shapes and materials within the brand's worldview.



Amidst growing anticipation for new releases, the two eyewear models available for pre-release in the fifth collection are designed with motifs of "Gardener" and "Farmer" faces. Both feature 2mm thick original rims, onto which skilled artisans apply cloisonné coloring, enhancing their shapes. Upon closer inspection of the single-color silver and gold rims, one can see a clear cloisonné coating, a testament to exquisite craftsmanship.

Expressing a Unique Worldview Through Machine-Made x Craft

The "Gardener" model features a square form with rounded corners, creating an impression that balances strength and gentleness. The "Farmer" model adopts an octagonal shape. While initially unique, the precise 45mm width of each lens imparts an intellectual impression when worn.

Continuer in Ebisu, Tokyo, and its sister store The PARKSIDE ROOM in Kichijoji will host a pre-release event for the "OG×OLIVER GOLDSMITH 5th Collection," featuring the two models in five colors each, starting March 12th, prior to the general release.
