A Christmas to Cherish Mom
In the Tazawa household, Christmas is a family event. Ever since I can remember, we've had a Christmas tree in the living room, placed presents under it, and gathered around a home-cooked meal prepared by my mother. My father would call each of our names and hand us our gifts – it's a tradition.
A few years ago, friends joined our party and were delighted by the gifts for everyone, the hugs, and the kisses. They told me, "This is wonderful." This year, my family will gather again, and I'm especially looking forward to it because my nephew is now three years old and understands presents. I truly love Christmas, when the family comes together once a year.
My parents exchange gifts with each other, so seeing them happy has naturally led me to put special thought into my own presents.
Wanting to Give What You'd Like to Receive
Do I give and receive gifts often? When it comes to gifts between women, I tend to choose beauty or relaxation items. This year, I was thrilled to receive a spa gift card for my birthday.
As is classic, receiving flowers always makes me happy as a woman. So, I often give flowers as gifts too. But the best present is when everyone gathers to celebrate. I still meet up with my friends from junior high school on each other's birthdays without fail.

Margaret Howell is one of my long-time favorite brands. I feel compelled to share things that I find comfortable to wear. This year, I gifted clothes from Margaret Howell to my brother and nephew for their birthdays.
I'm always happy when a gift comes with a card. A personal message, especially from someone close, is particularly touching. I believe that wanting to do for others what makes you happy is important, and something to cherish.
This Year, I'd Like a White Crewneck Knit
Margaret Howell knits are my favorite, and I buy them every year. The cashmere turtleneck I'm wearing today is from last year. The color is that exquisite shade unique to Howell, and I can't help but want to wear it as autumn deepens. While I prioritize material when choosing clothes, with Margaret Howell, it's not just the material but always the color that draws me in. I really feel the designer Margaret's commitment to color.
If I were to choose something I want from the Margaret Howell gift book this year,a white crewneck knitwould be perfect. The geometric patterned socks are also cute; they seem like they'd make a lovely gift too.
