Founded in 2003 by designer Araki Yanagawa, who boasts an unusual background as a former professional boxer, John Lawrence Sullivan is known for its obsession with the beautiful back created by switching materials and patterns, with themes of Elegance, Fetishism, Modern, Archaic, and Outrageous. The brand continually pursues rational and elegant silhouettes.

This season's women's collection proposes a structured and rhythmic layered style, utilizing techniques such as placing, layering, and folding.

The deconstructed bottoms, which transform trench coats and jackets into skirt designs, and the combination of leather and melton, layer two contrasting materials to create a three-dimensional effect.

The Limited Edition Coat with a Beautiful Shaggy Finish

Classic materials such as melton, flannel, and chalk stripe are given a fresh sensibility. The bonding of smooth jersey with windproof functionality and melton creates a modern impression. Also noteworthy are the use of Weinheimer leather, often used for high-quality bags, and the faux fur from Steiff, famous for its teddy bears.

The color palette is primarily composed of classical tones like navy, gray, and camel, accented with modern touches of orange, blue, and mustard. This collection expresses a sophisticated feminine image that balances casualness and elegance.

At the Kyoto pop-up, the brand is releasing a direct-run exclusive alpaca shaggy coat made from highly rare Suri alpaca material. The shaggy finish, which takes advantage of the fiber's long pile and silk-like luster, is exquisite. The silhouette is oversized and voluminous.
