Tetsuo Sannpei's Designs: Artistic, Simple, and Practical

The Chinese phrase "瞳理心" refers to the mindset and attitude when raising a child, while "同理心" means empathy and compassion. TonySame aims to create new eyewear with a child-like, straightforward approach, unbound by conventional thinking or tradition. Their aspiration is to produce the finest glasses that ensure a comfortable fit and clear vision.

TonySame's most distinctive feature is its eyewear collection, meticulously designed to fit the facial structures of Asians. In a collaborative effort between TonySame and the Central Academy of Fine Arts, directly under the Ministry of Education of China, a creative design team led by Tetsuo Sannpei, who boasts over 30 years of experience in design and engineering, has developed pioneering technology. This has resulted in eyewear that perfectly fits the Asian head shape.





TonySame has developed its Asian fitting models using a technology that applies the principles of weight distribution across points, lines, and planes. This ensures a softer fit through an indirect mechanism, nose pads that automatically conform to the shape of the nose in response to body temperature, a weight balance that feels light when worn, and frames compatible with the lens variations commonly used in Asia. These four elements guarantee a comfortable wearing experience.
