Catherine Guides You Through the Energetic City of New York!

Hello everyone in Japan! This is Catherine Malandrino. This week and next, I'd like to introduce you to my favorite spots in New York.

I was born in Grenoble, a city in the Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France, and came to New York in the 1990s. I love this city, which is full of energy! While it may lack the romance of Paris, New York's energy is my source of power. There are places that inspire me, places that are perfect for relaxation and healing, and many places that are ideal for enjoying with friends.

This week, I'll share spots related to fashion, art, and beauty, and next week I'll introduce my favorite restaurants and cafes!

First, let's start with my favorite beauty spot: the "Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa" located within The Plaza Hotel. This spa is developed and operated by a Bordeaux winery. It's famous for its treatments using cosmetics made with grape polyphenols, and many celebrities visit here.

Art spots are perfect places to find inspiration and absorb something new! First, the Museum of Modern Art, "MOMA," which I'm sure many of you know. I visit whenever I need stimulation or a change of pace.

Next is "Phillips de Pury & Company." This is an auction house that handles contemporary art, photography, and design and art from the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as jewelry. Last year, they hosted a charity auction here, featuring products from a collaboration between Swarovski and various designers, with Carla Bruni as the sponsor. Of course, I participated too!

The Gagosian Gallery focuses on contemporary art, considered the most powerful in the world today. While there are three Gagosian locations in New York, my favorite is the one in Chelsea.

This is the shop of Selima, an eyewear designer and my close friend, who has appeared many times. This season, we are also collaborating on a collection. My favorite big-frame glasses lately are also Selima's items.

And when it comes to fashion, the "Catherine Malandrino" boutique is a must-visit! It has a very chic and calm atmosphere, so I think you can enjoy shopping in a relaxed way. We often hold various events here!
