Shibuya Men's Store Reimagined with the World of Virgil Abloh's Debut Era

The Louis Vuitton Shibuya Men's Store is currently hosting a limited-time men's pop-up, "Temporary Residency." Here, you can find exclusive sneakers and items available only at this location. The event runs until Sunday, August 1, 2021.

"Temporary Residency" is part of a series of global men's fashion events titled "Louis Vuitton: Walk in the Park." Following events in Paris (Pont Neuf) and New York (SoHo), this marks the first such event in Japan.

The chosen venue is the Louis Vuitton Shibuya Men's Store, the maison's first men's flagship store. It offers an intimate experience with Louis Vuitton's icons, allowing visitors to feel the evolution of its creative journey.

The space is unified in rainbow colors, reminiscent of the set design from Virgil Abloh's debut Spring/Summer 2019 collection as Men's Artistic Director.

The space is also designed with a playful touch, featuring a wall design resembling stacked Louis Vuitton shoe boxes and a large LV signature in striking rainbow neon colors.

The focus here is on Louis Vuitton men's sneakers created under Virgil Abloh's artistic direction. Notably, the "LV Trainer Line Sneakers," his signature design first released in the Spring/Summer 2019 collection, will feature a selection of editions with varying materials and colors presented each season.

In addition to exclusive "Temporary Residency" editions, the store will offer limited domestic releases of the "LV Trainer Upcycling" sneakers, reflecting the concept of upcycling, and pre-release items from the recently announced Spring/Summer 2022 collection.

Alongside footwear, select men's accessories such as the "Soft Trunk," "Collier LV Chain Links," and "Sunglasses 1.1 Millionaires" will also be available. The Autumn/Winter 2021 collection also had its pre-launch on Friday, July 9th, creating a space where the world of Louis Vuitton Men under Virgil Abloh can be fully experienced.

A similar limited-time men's store is scheduled to open at JR Nagoya Takashimaya, 3F Rose Patio. This location will feature a different spatial design from the Louis Vuitton Shibuya Men's Store, offering another opportunity to experience the "Louis Vuitton: Walk in the Park" initiative.
