Introducing "Sýr" (pronounced 'seer'), which has now taken its first breath. Officially launched in 2022, details remain scarce, but they have unveiled "Sýr/ZDA" as their inaugural project. Utilizing traditional methods for crafting running shoes and high-quality materials, they have conceived a trail running shoe.

The "ZDA" in "Sýr/ZDA" refers to a shoe brand produced in the small town of Partizánske during the era when it was part of Czechoslovakia, from the 1950s to the 1980s. Although the brand later went dormant, the original soles, molds, and manufacturing machinery were preserved, leading to the revival of "ZDA" in 2016.
The project "Sýr/ZDA," born from the collaboration between "Sýr" and "ZDA," imaginatively designs a trail running shoe that did not exist during the Czechoslovakian era. This has resulted in a model named "MARATHON."
The distinctive colorways draw inspiration from sources such as 3D satellite imagery, natural phenomena, and video games. The materials used include high-performance Cordura (Nichel Cordura), tested and produced in Europe, and Italian leather.
The brand's website showcases the natural phenomena that inspired the colorways, offering a glimpse into their creative wellspring. We anticipate further developments with great interest.
