New colors arrive for shoes made with traditional manufacturing methods, inspired by old-school running shoe production

Sýr/ZDA is a collaboration between the project "sýrequipements," launched at the end of 2021, and the Slovakian shoe brand "ZDA." With their classic manufacturing methods, comfortable fit, and a mysterious, niche approach, their fanbase is rapidly growing. We'd like to introduce their long-awaited new products.

Colorways Inspired by Natural Phenomena (3D Satellite Imagery)

The project "sýrequipements" draws inspiration from natural phenomena and 3D satellite imagery, yet its full scope remains shrouded in mystery. "ZDA" is a shoe brand revived in 2016, produced in the small town of Partizánske during its time as Czechoslovakia from the 1950s to the 1980s. "Sýr/ZDA" is born from the collaboration between these two entities.

In 2020, the first release was the "MARATHON 2300SYR," conceived with the manufacturing methods of old-school running shoes and high-quality materials, intended as a trail running shoe. This April, a model recreating a sports sandal that actually existed in the 1970s garnered attention. Now, new colors for the "MARATHON 2300SYR" have been released. The distinctive colorways are inspired by 3D satellite imagery of the Salar de Uyuni, the world's largest salt flat, located in Bolivia. We highly recommend checking them out.
