Introducing the Original "Black Watch / Isetan Men's"

Isetan Men's celebrates its 46th anniversary since opening and 11 years as the Men's Building. The iconic "Black Watch" tartan, long a symbol of the store, has been reimagined as the original "Black Watch / Isetan Men's." Discover these new original items, featuring the updated tartan, at the Men's Building 1F promotion space until November 11 (Tuesday).

Adding "Red (Tannihairo)" to the Classic Green, Blue, and Black

Announced on October 29th, the new "Black Watch / Isetan Men's" incorporates "red (tannihairo)," a traditional Japanese color, into the familiar palette of green, blue, and black. This addition symbolizes the sun illuminating the start of a new day and the "sincerity" inherent in Isetan's name.

The designer behind this original pattern is Brian Wilton, a board member of the Scottish Tartan Society and a globally active tartan ambassador. He also oversaw the design when Isetan's iconic tartan was reborn as "MacMillan / Isetan" exactly one year ago.

The "Black Watch / Isetan Men's" began with the creation of original fabric, and its pattern is officially registered with the "Scottish Register of Tartans," the official body for tartan oversight in Scotland.

To commemorate the launch of the "Black Watch / Isetan Men's," the Men's Building 1F promotion space is showcasing a selection of popular brands' shoes, clutch bags, and more. The new Isetan tartan will be featured across a variety of items.
