Jane Birkin met perfumer Lyn Harris, and together they collaborated in the laboratory, engaging with various natural essences.
Jane shared stories of her own vibrant life, her passions, her beliefs, and her cherished memories of France with Lyn, who then wove together Jane’s favorite essences.

After years of dedicated perfumery, with trial versions sent repeatedly to her home in Paris and months of rigorous testing, the true perfume Jane had long desired finally came to fruition.
Jane further enhanced this dream collaboration by adding her own illustrations of nude angels and her name to Miller Harris’s original floral and insect designs on the bottle and box.
