The Shop's Theme: "Wearing Clothes as Unisex"

The concept shop Ground Y features multiple Yohji Yamamoto brands, including the newly created "Ground Y" line, the denim brand "Yohji JEANS" developed in collaboration with EDWIN, exclusive "by Y’s" and "Y’s Pink Label" items available only at Ground Y, and the silver accessory brand "GOTHIC YOHJI YAMAMOTO."

The opening image visual for Ground Y features 100 young individuals photographed by Leslie Kee. This collaboration was realized through a shared resonance with Yohji Yamamoto's new endeavor, Ground Y.




Leslie Kee commented, "I have always respected Yohji Yamamoto. Through my photography, I want to spread the appeal of his life's work—his creations and worldview—to the world, increase his fans, and pass it on to future generations. With the desire for young people to actively participate in this new concept shop, Ground Y, as a 'play ground,' I have launched a new project, 'Ground Y Factory.'"

To commemorate the opening of Ground Y, original artworks by artist Yasuto Sasada are being exhibited and sold. Sasada's pieces for Ground Y are intricate ballpoint pen drawings featuring "Geishas" as their motif. The delicate yet intensely individualistic world of Sasada's art is expressed through prints on T-shirts.
