Exotic Looks Inspired by the 1960s-70s
The venue was inspired by the historic hotel "Il Pellicano" in Porto Ercole, Tuscany. This is a hotel that captivated renowned photographers such as Slim Aarons, who chronicled jet-setters; John Swarbrick, a member of the US Navy's special photographic unit; and Juergen Teller, known for his effortlessly chic style with a humorous twist on social norms.
The Spring/Summer 2015 collection draws inspiration from the beautiful and alluring aesthetics of the 1960s and 70s. Looks featuring bold colors, fluid shapes, and relaxed cuts showcased an effortless, exotic elegance.
The white jacquard piqué used for espadrilles, featuring pale-tone blue stripes, was also adopted for a new type of jacket and a double-breasted blazer.
Yellows reminiscent of straw, vibrant blues, and Tuscan brick reds were transformed onto Irish linen canvas, lending a brilliant touch to understated tastes.
Suits achieved a lighter feel, and coats presented a new formal silhouette. The jackets, with their pronounced shoulders and tapered bodies free of complex construction, can be considered a hallmark of this season.
Additionally, attention should be paid to the items tailored from newly developed, ultra-lightweight Japanese wool, conceptualized as "Cool Wool."
The collection also includes items with a modern flair incorporating chino trousers, high-gauge knitwear, and shirts akin to bespoke tailoring.
