This limited edition product was realized through a proposal from Saks Fifth Avenue. It is being sold at the New York store of Saks Fifth Avenue department store, and nearly all of its proceeds will be donated to "The Japan Earthquake Relief Fund," established by the Japan Society, a US-Japan exchange organization.

This "Limited Edition Coat for Reconstruction Support" is a double trench coat made from 100% high-quality silk fabric from Yonezawa. It was crafted at Sanyo Shokai's own factory, "Sanyo Sewing Aomori Plant," making full use of over 40 years of coat-making expertise. The word "希望" (KIBOU - hope) is embroidered in Kanji on the inside of the chest, which is likely to be well-received in Western countries where Kanji is currently trending. The pop tag illustration was created by New York-based graphic designer William Tai. It is available for $795.
