Introducing the "Nike ACG Air Zoom Ao," Nike's new amphibious shoe designed for any terrain.
The name "Ao" is derived from the Japanese word for blue, a color that evokes both land and sea.
Drawing inspiration from Nike's popular past models, it features a unique, composite design that offers versatility, drainage, and grip.
Its hidden lacing system, similar to the Nike Phantom VNW football boot, prevents snagging on trail obstacles.
The sole's drainage capabilities were inspired by the Nike Kookini, released in 2003, while the Nike SFB Jungle Boot informed its design for navigating streams without impediment.
The high-traction rubber offers exceptional grip, with a reinforced toe cap for enhanced durability.
A Zoom Air unit in the heel provides significant cushioning, reducing impact on the feet.
With an easy pull-lace system and a bootie construction, the shoe balances practical outdoor functionality with stylish design.
