Rooted in tabi manufacturing and based in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture—a region known for its rubber industry—ASAHI began producing jogging shoes in the 1970s, primarily for overseas brands.
The new TRAINER 3 boasts a classic design. Its upper blends elements from models produced in the 1970s, while the sole draws inspiration from the "ASAHI RUNNER SHOES" worn by runners in the 1960s.
Comfort is paramount, with features like an abrasion-resistant outsole and a thick EVA midsole. While honoring traditional manufacturing methods, this hybrid sneaker has been crafted with a modern sensibility.
