Promotion to be held at Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building 2F from Wednesday, June 26th

Although Thomas Dozol is not yet actively working in Japan, he is a highly popular artist in the art world, holding solo exhibitions in New York and London. For this collaboration, ato has selected five images from his works, which are composed of monochrome, anonymous photographs and minimal geometric colors. These images have been laid out to highlight the appeal of each piece and incorporated into items that can be used daily.

Four types of T-shirts are printed on comfortable cotton material with a U-neck. Two types of pullover-style hooded sweatshirts made of cotton, and two types of simple tote bags made of cotton/linen ox material are also printed. Additionally, one type of bandana will be available exclusively at the Aoyama store.

To commemorate the ato × Thomas Dozol collaboration, a special promotional space "ato × Thomas Dozol" will be set up on the 2nd floor of Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building from Wednesday, June 26th to Tuesday, July 9th. In addition to selling the collaboration items, select leather items from the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection, perfect for coordinating outfits, will be available for pre-sale.

Furthermore, from Friday, July 5th to Thursday, July 18th, Thomas Dozol's artworks will be exhibited at the Aoyama flagship store. The bandana, an item exclusive to the Aoyama store, will also be released.

Thomas Dozol
Born in Martinique, France, and educated in Paris, he earned a master's degree in economics and sociology before moving to New York to enter the world of performing arts. In 2002, he became involved with the cabaret performance troupe The Citizens Band as a stage actor. However, the documentary photographs he took, capturing rehearsals and the premiere performance at Deitch Projects, garnered international attention, leading him to start his career as a photographer.
His work has been featured in numerous fashion magazines, and in 2004, he launched the temporary touring gallery project, One Wall Gallery. He has held solo exhibitions in New York and São Paulo, and in the fall of 2012, he presented a new series of silkscreen prints in New York. He continues to be based in New York.
