A Lineup of Refined Apparel and Footwear

Jun Takahashi, the founder of UNDERCOVER, and NIKE have collaborated for nearly a decade on the running-focused GYAKUSOU collection. The collection draws inspiration from Takahashi's passion for running, the relationship between fluid motion and static environments, and the act of running itself as a meditative experience.

This summer, NIKE and UNDERCOVER officially collaborate, releasing apparel and footwear.




The apparel features adjustable fits using Velcro tabs. The long-sleeve top allows for waist width adjustment, and the T-shirt allows for armhole width adjustment. This enables wearers to create their preferred silhouette by freely adjusting the drape and balance.

Functionality is also enhanced: the track suit's hood doubles as a pocket, with a kangaroo pocket on the front and a zippered mesh pocket on the back.

The pants are equipped with cargo pockets on both sides and a zippered mesh pouch at the waist. Additionally, some long-sleeve tops and T-shirts incorporate mesh materials for enhanced breathability.

Each apparel piece is marked with the text "CHAOS BALANCE," a theme central to UNDERCOVER, making it immediately clear that these are special collaborative items.



The collection is scheduled for release on Friday, June 7, 2019, at NIKE.COM/NIKELAB, SNKRS, NIKELAB MA5, DSM GINZA, and select other retailers.

The campaign visuals were handled by "UNDERCOVER PRODUCTION." The subjects are contact Gonzo, a Japanese performance unit active worldwide, who bring the dynamic and elegant collection to life through their vibrant visuals and video.
