For the Fall/Winter 2012 collection, 'SYNERGISTIC,' the brand aims for a synergistic effect that transcends time and borders, exemplified by the creation of European textiles using Kurume Kasuri from Fukuoka.

Traditional Yet Functional: The Embodiment of the Brand Concept
The Fall/Winter 2012 collection, 'SYNERGISTIC,' draws inspiration from the London Olympics year, using the British lifestyle as a foundation to fuse traditional techniques with modern outdoor functionality.
MINOTAUR's signature approach is evident throughout, from stretch binder tape applied to tartan checks to the combination of Harris Tweed and high-density nylon. Even traditional tailored jackets are equipped with 'Thinsulate EX-Soft,' a high-performance microfiber material, ensuring warmth and a soft feel.
London Satellite Imagery Transferred to Fabric
The reversible fabric of the hunting down vest features an image of the London cityscape, captured by the high-precision 'PRISM' sensor on JAXA's (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) satellite 'Daichi.' This cutting-edge, cosmic-scale technology is integrated into a basic item, successfully expressing British essence with a completely new hybrid sensibility.

To recreate the texture of vintage sweatshirts, original brushed-back fabric was produced on rare loopwheel knitting machines in Wakayama Prefecture.
While incorporating keywords relevant to the times, such as organic cotton, recycled buttons, and loopwheel knitting, the collection also features Harris Tweed and Italian leather, demonstrating an uncompromising commitment to quality. The items chosen for reproduction are all past masterpieces, yet they are transformed into contemporary silhouettes through techniques like 3D cutting.
MINOTAUR re-examines the universal elements of tradition and meticulously reconstructs them to enhance functionality, durability, and comfort. The resulting synergy imbues each item, offering a glimpse into the future and potential of fashion.
