"Onitsuka Tiger" launched its special project "NIPPON MADE" in 2008. This initiative by one of Japan's few global sports fashion brands conveys the essence of true craftsmanship through its products. This time, we delve into its appeal once more, alongside an introduction to the Spring/Summer 2015 collection.

Japanese Craftsmanship Captivating Global Fashion Houses
Onitsuka Tiger's "Nippon Made" is the brand's premium line. Every process, from sewing to dyeing, is carried out in Japan. Among the lineup, some models feature secondary processing, such as washing, meticulously done by skilled artisans.
The unique character, reminiscent of well-worn shoes, is achieved through individual hand-washing. Artisans earnestly engage with the designer's requests, mobilizing their accumulated skills and knowledge, and achieving results through trial and error. They, too, continue to evolve. This, perhaps, is the mark of a true craftsman.
Nippon Made expands its variations season after season, not only in dyeing but also in techniques like weaving and leather finishing. Through various approaches, the refined handiwork of Japanese artisans meets modern design sensibilities, culminating in these shoes.

This season, Onitsuka Tiger's Nippon Made introduces an iconic and innovative series. Its distinctive appearance defies sneaker enthusiasts' expectations while simultaneously fulfilling them, showcasing the brand's confidence. On the next page, we will reveal its full scope.

Creations Beyond the Limits of Sneakers
This season's new Nippon Made series features three distinct personalities. The "COLOR ANTIQUE PACKAGE" offers vibrant colors on graphical designs. The "TANNIN PACKAGE" uses specially treated vegetable-tanned leather for a unique aging process. Lastly, there are intricately woven models meticulously crafted by hand. Alongside these, we present the "MEXICO 66 DELUXE," a stylish upgrade of a classic model.
Oil Painting-like Hues and Antique TasteThe "COLOR ANTIQUE PACKAGE" features the "Saddle Antique" process, where artisans meticulously rub off sprayed color from a pristine white product. The resulting unevenness and patina create an abstract beauty.
Enjoy Aging with Soft Vegetable-Tanned LeatherThe "TANNIN PACKAGE" incorporates vegetable-tanned leather, often chosen for its aging properties, into sneakers through an oil treatment that maintains comfort. Three types are available, including high-top shoes and slip-ons.
The Pinnacle of Handiwork Beautifully RealizedTightly woven, scorched leather, all handcrafted. The beautifully formed upper imbues the shoes with a lustrous appearance. The surface sheen gradually fades with use, evolving into a retro aesthetic.
The Classic, Elevated to the Highest StandardThe iconic "MEXICO 66" model from Onitsuka Tiger. The goat leather used for the upper combines delicate texture with robustness. Artisans individually wash each pair, achieving suppleness and softness, making them feel as comfortable as well-worn shoes.
