The Men's Shoe Floor Catering to the Needs of Men in Their 30s and 40s
While Mitsukoshi might evoke an image of a department store for gentlemen aged 50 and above, Ms. Miki Masaki, Business Sales Manager of Ginza Mitsukoshi's Men's Sales Department, states, "The lineup in our Men's Shoe Floor is particularly tailored to the preferences of men in their 30s and 40s, with an international selection that leads the entire 7th-floor offering." Among these, Italian-style shoes from brands like "SANTONI" and "MAGNANNI" are especially popular.
"At Ginza Mitsukoshi, shoes with high design value and vibrant colors are popular, with red and navy selling particularly well. 'A touch of playfulness' is a key theme in our conversations with customers, who often request shoes that appear classic but incorporate a subtle, playful element," says Ms. Masaki.
Focus on "GINZA RED" and "GINZA NAVY"
Ginza Mitsukoshi has commissioned exclusive, special orders from brands like Santoni and Magnanni. These modern, exclusive models, featuring elements like red soles or embossed leather, express a sophisticated playfulness through materials and colors, with "GINZA RED" and "GINZA NAVY" offering distinct color-focused collections.
"While Ginza Mitsukoshi excels in Italian brands with strong design and color palettes, we will also be introducing British brands like Edward Green and Crockett & Jones in late February. From March 4th (Wednesday), we will also offer exclusive 'Only MI' products for Mitsukoshi Isetan. We invite you to visit and find your beloved pair," she adds.
The shoe floor also houses a "Shoe Care & Repair Studio." Here, you can avail not only authentic repairs such as full sole replacements for leather shoes but also shoe care and cleaning services, including mirror-shine finishes for the toes. It's also convenient that they accept cleaning for women's items like shearling boots.
